Without using Pills, what would be a good, efficient and quick way to lose weight in a span of three months. I am going to be Washington DC for Obama Inauguration as a guest of a program called Presidential Classroom, and I would like to lose at least a couple of pounds for it.

Losing weight fast - hmm that doesnt sound to reassuring!

Don't jump into any fad diets because I gaurentee before the summers over you will have gained the weight back!

It's a simple two fold approach to losing weight (I lost 20 lbs in 2 months) - i walked 5 miles a day and changed up my diet! No soda (replaced it with water) and ate a lot healthier!

I'm looking to lose about fifteen pounds as fast as possible,I'm getting tired of having self esteem issues because of a bit of pudge on my belly and behind,what's the best way to lose weight quickly and effectively??

The most effective way to lose weight is small changes in your lifestyle, limiting your calories, and CARDIOVASCULAR EXERCISE.

I cannot stress that last part enough. That is what will burn fat. You need at least 20 minutes in a session to see results, 30 is better, 40 is great. Pick something you enjoy (hiking, swimming, cycling, jogging, etc.)

Make small changes to your eating habits — choose water over soda at dinner. Replace white bread with wheat bread. Snack on low-fat popcorn instead of chips.

Park the car at the far end of the lot instead of the closest space. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Limit your calorie intake…go figure out your Basal Metabolic Rate, and aim for 500-1,000 calories less than that. Don't eat less than 1000 calories per day, this will not help you lose weight but have the opposite effect!

Overall, fad diets don't work and neither does strictly weight-training exercise.

1-3 pounds a week is healthy weight loss.

loosing weight is not a hard and fast rule, and you certainly can't do it in a month's time. Stressing will not help, because that actually affects your weight loss.

To loose weight you have to burn more calories than you consume. Remember you are burning calories even while you are reading this, however, you need to get involved in some sort of continuous activity for at least 20 minutes, in order to raise your heart rate. You must exercise at least 3 times a week to see weight loss benefits. The key here is metabolism. Your metabolism is your ability to burn calories. Some people have low metabolism, others have hight. This is something that you can increase by exercising, eating healthy several meals a day, and drinking green tea.

When it comes to eating, stay away from high fructose corn syrup. Foods that have that cause you to become hungry sooner than you would want to eat. You should try to concentrate on whole foods, whole grains, and fruits and veggies. My motto is if its something you can't grow or make on your own, then it probably isn't healthy. A lot of canned food, especially veggies, aren't healthy since its packed in sodium water. If you cannot buy fresh veggies and need to buy canned, I suggest straining all the salt water out of the veggies, and then rinsing them with cold water.Also, stay away from pop. Pop is the biggest reason why our country is so fat. Something that used to be looked as a treat is now being consumed in the gallons. Put a stop to this habit if you drink pop. Eat several times a day. My eating schedule is something like this : 7 am breakfast, 10 am healthy snack. 12 or 1 pm. lunch. 3 pm. healthy snack. 6 pm. dinner. 9 pm. herbal tea with a bit of skim milk. If you spread your eating among several time periods, you do not overeat at your meals.

When it comes to exercising, there are countless things you can do. Anything that gets your heart rate up for at least twenty minutes is fair game. My choice of exercises are pilates (good for toning) aerobic exercises, the elliptical and the stair master. Did I mention that weight lifting is great, and burns more calories.

Overall, to lose weight, you have cultivate a habit of exercising and eating healthy. It requires you to resist temptation, urges to eat things that are not good for you. This does not mean that you cannot cheat, because it is ok to cheat once in a while. However, plan when you are going to cheat, and how you are going to cheat. It also helps to have a buddy when you work out. Things are always more fun that way.

My friend doesn't have a computer, so he asked me to ask his question for him. He's going on vacation on the 10th of July and he wants to lose weight before he goes. He weighs 240 pounds right now, and he wants to lose at least 60 or more. What are the best and fastest ways for him to lose weight before he leaves, and what are the best recommendations to help? Or is it even possible to lose that much in such a short time? Whether it is or not, he still wants to know what he should to do and how much he'll lose by that day.

In 12 days it is not possible to lose that much weight!!

You can do 500 jumping jacks, followed by 10 minutes of running, and then 2 sets of fast 30 pushups and 3 sets of 20-30 situps

Try to do this twice a day , once in morning or after noon one around 7:00, do not eat more than u usually do, try to eat less, but barely less, like maybe a few spoons less of food only

try this excercise three times if you want to loose faster, and maybe upgrade to 700 jumping jacks per session

Once in moring

Once in afternoon

Once at night

Hello. I have very dry hands and for my line of work it is very important to me to keep them very moist. I’ve tried so many kinds of lotions and specific hand creams but I need to apply it so often. I was wondering if anyone knows of an herbal tea that will promote moisture or perspiration so that I can keep them moist.

Yes..my grandma does this. You could get an orange pecoe tea. The orange supposedly opens up your sweat pores and makes the dryness go away.

I would like to know what are all the home/herbal remedies which we are using in day to day life to cure or to bring down the blood sugar level down? How to make them and use?

There are none. If that were the case, Diabetes would not be a problem.

In the hospital we use IV's of Dextrose and potassium to bring down really high blood sugar levels but it still takes some time. It's not instant. If there was a remedy that accomplished this, don't you think the health care industry will try and capitalize on this? The only way to bring down glucose levels is proper diet and exercise and medication as prescribed by your physician.

I just started taking it and want to know if it works…how much weight do you usually lose. I gained alot of weight because i had a thyroid problem that i was not aware of so i want to lose that weight while controlling my thyroid….another question…is it normal that you have to pee alot after words because after i take it i have to pee like three to four times.

Say Adios to your £s but not to your lbs!!!! Someone else who is doomed to fail as they look for something to lose weight for them!

The problem with your question is that if you look in "search for questions" it comes up 30 times every day. I have had some criticism for repeatedly using the same answer, but since I am happy with my answer, and the questions are the same, I don't see the issue with recycling the same answer.
