Here is what I have been doing. Regarding diet and exercise.
I will NOT get the weight loss surgery OR use natural products
I am 40 years old, HYPOTHYROID and need to loose over 100 lbs
MY DIET:
I eat light low fat 1200-1400 calories a day including my fruits and veggies and exercise 6 times a week. I still eat eggs but in limited amounts One or 2 but NOT every day.
Also I eat sirloin beef hamburg I DONT care to much for fish I can deal with chicken.
I do however allow a splurge day but try not to over do it
The LOW FAT diet has worked best for my body type. I just got burned out adn fell off the wagon adn need to get back on.
EXERCISE:
I excercise for 20-25 minutes each day.
I alternate the exercise bike and the treadmill. Some days I just do the treadmill. I also do leg lifts and march in place and make sure the legs get up high as I march. I also jump up and down for short periods of time for more cardio , strength and endurance. It seems to help the fat in my lower belly when I do that.
How much weight can I expect to loose by May or June? I have been consistent with the exercise and I try to be with the diet. I started doing this between Christmas and New years. I just got tired of being fat.

I,too have hypothyroid problems.Im doing much better since Im on medication.
Im doing better with eating healthier and avoiding junk food.
Try some of the Leslie Sansone Walking DVDs.These are awesome and enjoyable.Maybe try resistance bands or light dumbbells.Increasing muscle will boost your metabolism.

my husband did it a few years ago and did lose weight. the downside is once you start eating 3 meals a day again you can very easily gain again if you didn't learn anything from what you did. the best way to lose weight is portion control. not depriving yourself of what you want to eat, but eating in moderation. it takes a few weeks to adjust to the lesser amount, but you will be amazed at how fast you can lose.
I am experimenting at the moment. I can suffer the green tea as i know this is an antioxident. I have heard red tea is good also. Peppermint, jasmine?? what types are good and are there any herbal teas i should avoid? Thanks
Green tea. It is loaded with antoxidants. Do not add milk to the tea though, it spoils the nutritional benefits. Try Oolong tea too.
I know about drinking lots of water, exercising, & eating healthy, small portions, but I'm 5'2" & 300 lbs. & I don't even look that big. It's a struggle for me because I try to go walking for exercise & can't even walk because my lower back hurts every 5 minutes & I have to stop walking & stretch the pain away. This is very difficult for me. I can't afford diets, pills, or surgery, & I need help with this. It's a big battle for me. Depression as a result of domestic abuse has brung on this weight, & I need help. Thanks. I at least TRY every day to go walking for exercise, but it's very painful. What should I do?

I know there are a bunch of legal steroids sold as supplements at ‘health food stores’ and I know that long term use and use of steroid-steroids is bad for your health but what would be good for Short Term, less than a month, usage of OTC Supplements do?
Would they spur weight loss in the next month?
Would they help build muscle or are they all placebo effect?
If you take enhancement products, what ACTUALLY WORK?
I will be working out like mad over the next month and would like a boost to help me along.
If I remember correctly, DHE or DEH is a supplement that boost sexual feelings and muscle growth… Would that help?
I believe that they make a formula for men and a formula for women…
No one can talk me out of trying supplements so PLEASE help me do this safely.

steroids do not make you lose weight they make you extremely hungry. what they do is give you a lot of protein and carbohydrates needed to build muscle which if you do not work out a lot will actually make you gain a lot of weight. if you want to lose weight look at something that curbs appetite increases energy and speeds up metabolism.
I haven't heard that before and from the lack of answers, I would assume that others haven't either. However, Herbalife is a good quality brand that has many different products that they sell. It is very possible to that somewhere along the line, someone took something they shouldn't have (either something that conflicted with a prescription they were on or they took too much of something) and it damaged their heart.
Did you hear a news story about someone having heart problems because of Herbalife? Just out of curiosity, I did a search on Yahoo for Herbalife and heart problems… 9 out of the top 10 hits were about preventing and reducing risk of heart problems. The one that was about heart problems was about an ephedra-based diet pill they sold a few years back (which they of course reformulated after ephedra was found to be bad when taken long-term).
